Photoshop tutorial - Photoshop tutorial, turn to your photos into watercolor paintings

I can't say enough good things about my best friend in the digital world: Photoshop. Suffice it to say I love it! When I use graphic designer it 99% of all my projects, and now I enjoy using what I do to Photoshop tutorials for others to make.

You don't need to be a professional or even "Artists" create works of art. Today you need to know how to draw! I intend to create a series of tutorials that illustrate several ways to use this program to create beautiful photos and graphs only with photographs. In this particular tutorial, I show you how turn photos into watercolors in few simple steps.

Are required to follow only materials along with this tutorial:

-Photoshop. I use Photoshop CS3, but you have you which version.
--A photo. Either a photo of your own or photo stock one. Some really good stock photos can be found free on the stock exchange.

That's it! I find a nice tool for all work a graphic tablet, I in Photoshop to do, and you are pretty cheap these days, but it is definitely not necessary.

This tutorial assumes that you have some basic knowledge of Photoshop. A basic 'newbie know"program helps a lot. Also, there is a link in my bio for you photos to see you through everything on foot.

1. Open Photoshop. Then go to file - > open, select the image you want to work with and then hit "Open".

2. On the layers palette (on the right side) right click on the "Level background" and select duplicate. Do this twice.

3. Click on the first layer duplicate (this should be your middle layer), then go to image - > settings - > Desaturate. Then the second double layer (your top) and do the same.

4. On the top layer, go to image - > settings - > reverse.

5. On the top layer, set the blending mode (located in the Layer palette, looks like:) to "Color Dodge".)

6. Still on the top layer, got to filter--> new - > minimum and set the RADIUS to 1.

6 Now duplicate the lower layer (the one which still color) again, and drag it to the to the top your layers. Go to filter - > blur - > Gaussian and set the RADIUS number in the box somewhere between 1 and 5. Typically each in more detail the picture becomes less want to set the RADIUS. Then set the layer blending mode "Multiply".

7. Choose the Brush tool paint, select to make the soft round or "fuzzy" brush up and set the size at which area you are working. Set the opacity to 20%.

Go to layer--> new layer and call your final layer what you want and press "OK".

Then choose the color that you want to use to paint with and to improve the area or to change, to paint colors.

Each picture you need to do different results. Have fun playing with different levels and colors! I hope you found this Photoshop tutorial easy to follow. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

I are better things if you follow, so took pictures together a series of free reference images to the go along with this. They can be found here
